Ekowater’s vertical sieve is a device utilized for mechanical separation of municipal and industrial sewage. It is used in the first phase of wastewater treatment to remove solid contaminants from sewer. Due to its small dimensions, the device fits perfectly into rather small sewage treatment plants with limited area. The vertical sieve is installed at the supply point of sewage collection and it can operate inside utility spaces or individual constructions outside.

Function
The vertical sieve is responsible for separation and removal of solid contaminants from sewage. The separation takes place on a straining sieve. After the procedure, its perforated basket is automatically cleaned with a brush installed inside the device. Screenings are transported on the vertical spiral conveyor where the material is dewatered for the first time. Final dewatering process takes place when the contaminants are pressed and then discharged. The construction of vertical sieve designed by Ekowater allows to carry out hermetic process of straining, transferring, pressing and discharging screenings.
